Message	thats what they are there for....to move around. If they weren't made to do that, then there would be no point for them. Also notice the dust/boot covers? They are there to keep dirt out of the grease thats on the pivot. I would assume they would grease a pivot because it has to move. Now yes they don't move on that car as much as I have them moved in the pictures, but they do move. the pivot has nothing to to do with side to side play. At least not 1/2" worth. You have other problems.
